You want to keep the programs you like to use within easy reach? I will show you how to Pin Or Unpin Computer icons to Windows 7 Taskbar. Windows XP lets you customize the Start menu, taskbar, and desktop so you can launch your favourite programs more quickly, without having to search for them. Surprisingly enough, this process has changed in Microsoft Windows 7. Below are some illustrations of how Windows 7 makes it easier for you to stay focused on your work?
This will illustrate how you can pin or unpin Computer icon to the Windows 7 taskbar.
Firstly, add the Computer Shortcut to your desktop by:
Right click your desktop
Click on “Personalize”
Click on “Change Desktop Icons” on top right pane/corner
Select “Computer” from “Desktop Icon Settings” dialogue box.
Click on “Apply”; then “OK”
Click Here to download the Computer.zip file.
Click on Save to save the file to your desktop.
Extract the file to your desktop. (Download WinZip if not installed).
Right click on the Computer shortcut you unzipped; click on Properties; General tab, then Unblock button (See buttom Right).
Finally, drag the Computer shortcut with your mouse to the taskbar until Pin to Taskbar pop-up is displayed/shown.
Drag it to your desired position within the task bar.
Congratulations, your Computer is now pinned to the taskbar.
To unpin, right click Computer, click on "Unpin this program from the Taskbar".
Pin Other Programs to the Start Menu
